Characters: Lieutenant Commander Airiam, Lieutenant Nilsson

Sara Mitich is an actress who played the role of Lieutenant Commander Airiam in the first season of Star Trek: Discovery, and Lieutenant Nilsson in the second season. Remarkably, her Nilsson character was the replacement for Airiam on the bridge after the latter’s death in the line of duty, and who was in the second season played by fellow Canadian actress Hannah Cheesman, having in turn replaced Mitich as such for that season.
