Lycia Naff played the role of Sonya Gomez in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episodes “Q Who” and “Samaritan Snare”.

One of Naff’s more memorable scenes was when she first meets Captain Jean-Luc Picard and literally bumps into him, spilling a drink all over his uniform. Her character was well-established for two consecutive episodes, but then was abruptly never seen or referred to again as part of the Enterprise-D crew.
